These are questions that have or may come up. It is, however, not a comprehensive list. If there's anything you're wondering about, just send an e-mail. Be sure to read through all of the questions before doing so, though.




What type of stories are accepted at this archive?
As the name of the mailing list and archive imply, any fanfiction dealing with Wufei and Duo (Gundam Wing) together in some sort of close relationship is housed here.

Why have an archive for the fanfiction that’s all ready been posted to the mailing list?
So that all the members of the mailing list -- new and old -- can easily find each chapter from whatever fanfic they’re reading without having to search through thousands of posts.

Where is the link to register located?
Registration has been turned off. Only those who have submitted fanfiction to the mailing list will have an account. This is in order to ease-up on the amount of resources that are needed due to the large number of fanfics and authors. It's also to make sure that those who are uploading fics here are members of the mailing list.

Am I still able to read and review all the stories?
Yes, of course you are! Just pay attention to the warnings and ratings on the fanfiction. Also, when reviewing, flames will not be tolerated, so please be polite.

What is an RSS feed and how do I use it?
An RSS feed allows you to subscribe to a site and monitor updates.
--- If you're using FireFox, simply click on the orange icon located in the right hand corner of the address bar. Select the Bookmarks Toolbar Folder (or whichever folder you like) and click OK.
--- If you're using IE7, the orange icon is located on the right hand side of the toolbar or click on the star with the green plus sign that's on the left side of the toolbar. Then click on the subscribe link. You can also control how often you want the feed to check for updates. Clicking on your favorites icon brings it up.

I have a Wufei/Duo fanfic that I would like to submit to the archive. How can I do that?
Join the WufeiDuoyaoimL and post your fanfic. Then send an e-mail to newauthor@wufeiduo.net stating what penname you’d like to be listed under and a working e-mail. An e-mail will be sent to you with more information.

Why do I have to be a member of the WufeiDuo mailing list in order to submit my fanfiction to the archive?
This archive is part of the mailing list. It only exists because of it, therefore all fics must come from there.

How do I join the WuFei/Duo mailing list?
The URL to the mailing list is: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/wufeiduoyaoiml/. You'll either have to sign in or sign up (if you don't have a Yahoo! ID).

My favorite 5x2x5 fanfic isn’t in the archive. How can I submit it under the GuestFic category?
First, you must be a member of the mailing list. Other than that, follow the instructions below.

Guest Fic Submission Rules

1. Fic must be 2x5x2 or 2+5+2 or other combinations with 2 and 5 in them. (ex. 1x2x5, 2x3x5 etc.)
2. Friendship fics must have at least 65% meaningful interaction between Duo and Wufei, regardless of romantic pairings. (If you’re not sure the fics meets the required criteria, email San or Christy with the fic name, author, and a URL. We’ll check it over, confer, and let you know.)
3. Author of the fic is not a member of the WufeiDuoYaoi ML. You must receive permission from the author to post and archive the fic, and post the permission with the fic.

To Submit a Guest Fic

1. Make sure the fic meets the criteria.
2. Let Christy or San know before you post the fic, so we don’t miss it for the archive.
3. Post the fic and its ‘permission slip’ as well as the author’s name, email address and a URL (if they have one). Make sure [Guest Fic] is in the subject line.
Example:

Subject: [Guest Fic] Art of Food by ClarySage

Then set up the body something like this:

“ClarySage gave permission: paste permission…”
Title: Art of Food
Author: ClarySage (ClarySage2000@aol.com)
Archive: if applicable
Category: AU, Romance
Rating: Adult
Warnings: Lemon!

(Doesn’t have to be exactly like that, but have the required info.)

Note: If it’s a long, multi-chaptered fic such as Written in Blood, let Christy or San know first. We’ll get it put up, let you know it’s ready, and then you can post an announcement type thing saying it’s in the archive. Just don’t forget the permission slip.

What are Challenges and how can I issue a challenge?
If you have an idea (plot bunny) for a fanfic, but can't or don't have the time to write one, you can put it out there for someone else who might like to write it. Click on Challenges and then on Issue a challenge. Keep in mind that all challenges must be about Wufei & Duo in some sort of close relationship.

What do the ratings stand for?
Thanks go to Shenkai for the new ratings.
All - Readers of all ages.
11+ - These stories are appropriate for readers who are 11 years old or older.
14+ - These stories are appropriate for readers who are 14 years old or older.
17+ - These stories are appropriate for readers who are 17 years old or older.
Adult - For mature readers; should be at least 18 years old.

What do the abbreviations of some of the genres/warnings mean?
